The following Excel spreadsheets are downloadable and can be used to generate random grids and answers (no peeking!) by following these steps:
1. Download the sheet. Choose one that will challenge you or focus on the harder tables.
2. Open with Excel (or Open Office). There are 5 tabs at the bottom: Template, Answers, Marking, x axis & y axis.
3. Generate a new test by clicking on the x axis sheet, then Formulas tab, then calculate sheet button; do the same again for the y axis sheet; then the Template sheet.
4. You can type into the Template sheet (be warned - this is slow to do, paper and a pen will be faster). Time yourself. Aim for 3 seconds per answer, no more than 1 incorrect answer is ok.
5. Check your answers by applying step 3 to the Marking sheet if you typed in your answers, or by hand if not.
